Mince Supper Recipe From The Butchers Block

Recipe Ingredients

1Ib of the best Butchers Block beef mince, 1 onion finely chopped
3 carrots peeled and chopped into small pieces
1 beef stock cube
2 teaspoons dried thyme
Olive oil
Freshly milled black pepper
1 pint boiling water
2 tablespoons cornflour mixed with little water in a cup to form a paste
Mash and green veg to serve


In a large non stick sauce pan (with a lid) add splash olive oil and brown mince. Once browned add onion and soften. Add carrot pieces and soften. Add thyme and season with salt and pepper. Add stock cube and stir through. Add boiling water Mix thoroughly and allow to simmer with lid on for 30 minutes. Do not allow to boil or go dry, add more water if boiling dry. Then Stir through cornflour and should thicken. Serve with mash and green veg.
